A weekend of (too much) TV
I just spent the past couple days catching up on all this TV I haven't taken the time to watch.

On Friday, I watched the last three episodes of Torchwood. I also finally finished Life on Mars and watched one episode of Ashes to Ashes.

Saturday was all about Blackpool. (I'll mention that I watched Viva  Blackpool as well, but I don't recommend it at all.) I can't believe that I've owned those DVDs for months, and that it's taken me this long to watch it all.

Sunday, I watched the the second episode of Ashes to Ashes and first episode of State of Play. I also caught some "real TV" with the Knight Rider special on NBC.

I have not watched that much TV in a long time.  However, David Tennant and John Simm made it completely worth it. ;)

Finally
I have with me my Blackpool DVDs. I first ordered a copy of the original release waaaay back on January 16. It's May 30. Has anyone ever waited that long for a DVD to come in that was already out? Sheesh. =)

Blackpool
I'm hoping that I actually get my Blackpool DVD from Amazon UK this time around. I just placed the order, so maybe it'll arrive next week. *crossing fingers*

In other Blackpool news, I learned from [info]inara223's latest post that CBS will have a US version of it called Viva Laughlin. My interest here is piqued because Hugh Jackman will play a character in the show AND he's executive producer.

DW: Animated icon for [info]teskafuture
By [info]teskafuture's request:

Now the question is, can anyone else use this icon? =)

Oh, and I must say, I soooo drawn to his hand in this clip, that I just couldn't bear to crop that out.

My sister cracks me up!
Growing up, my sister hated Doctor Who because it freaked her out (especially Tom Baker's Doctor). Also, whenever my brother was watching, he wouldn't let her change the channel. Now, some twenty years later, she still has this conditioned response of "Ew!" whenever anything Doctor Who is mentioned. Even the theme song makes her gag.

So when she looked over my shoulder and saw a wallpaper with David Tennant as the Doctor, she said, "Oooh! Who's that?"

"David Tennant," I replied.

"From?"

"Doctor Who."

"Ew!!!"

She cracks me up!

Still, I haven't gotten her to watch any New Who yet. =\ On the plus side, I've already shown her the first two episodes of Farscape, and she's at least somewhat interested in seeing more.

I bought the 500 Miles video!
I liked the 500 Miles video with David Tennant in a kilt the audience that I bought an official copy. I downloaded it from 7digital because I felt bad for having something where the all profits go to charity. It costs £1.99 for the video, which works for PC only with Windows Media Player. It's also available at iTunes UK, but it 7digital allows easier international purchases. Proceeds go to Comic Relief UK whose mission is to rid the world of poverty.

Thank you [info]jagwriter78 for pointing out the Comic Relief appearance by David Tennant. Today had been a pretty stressful day, and I needed a laugh. Would you believe that I had actually watched my own vid just before heading over to LJ and seeing your post? I honestly hadn't watched it in awhile, and I needed to smile, and that vid always helps. (Is that a self-centered thing to do?) Anyway, seeing your post was more than icing on the cake. It was the ice cream sundae that goes along with it!!

Thank you [info]dnamadscientist for uploading and posting said appearance. I watched the 500 video, and goodness, David wears that kilt so well! For a second, I thought they were saying "row" instead of "roll" at the beginning. *grin* Also, that's a Taylor guitar that the guy from the Proclaimers was playing. A Taylor is my dream guitar, but the one I want is over $3000. O.o

((([info]dnamadscientist)))

Thank you [info]teskafuture for the transcript of the the David Tennant-Catherine Tate sketch, because after watching that I was laughing so hard, that it got hard to understand, but your transcript helped greatly. *wipes the tears from eyes that came from laughing so hard*

Can hardly wait...
...for my David Tennant on DVD fix! I just placed the order for Casanova and Doctor Who Season 2, which will arrive hopefully sometime next week when Season 2 will actually be released here. Yay!

I'll get Season 1 eventually, but I really want Season 2 now because I have this idea for a vid, and this time I want some quality clips!
